Rotork has been working with BAE Systems to upgrade a sequence of A-range actuators to IQ3 actuators which function penstocks controlling movement of ships between the sea and transitional locks and dry docks at Her Majesty’s Naval Base Portsmouth (HMNB Portsmouth).
A collection of A-range actuators had reached the tip of their operational life after lengthy service in a challenging surroundings. BAE Systems needed to retain all the advantages of electrical actuators, so IQ3 actuators have been chosen. These had to be specifically adapted by Rotork to overcome problems around confined spaces and troublesome access.
IQ3 actuators and IS gearboxes had been mechanically tailored in order that both actuator and gearbox could be operated by hand without coming into the confined area. เกจวัดแรงดันภาษาอังกฤษ designed special hand auto levers and thru drive mechanisms for the actuator and gearbox to remove the need for confined house access.
Actuators within the IQ vary are watertight, offering ingress protection to IP66/68 at 20 m for 10 days. They have a sophisticated twin stacked show with configurable data logger performance, and an absolute place sensor supplies reliability and accuracy.
