Sulzer launches world’s largest medium-consistency pump

Sulzer has announced the launch of the world’s greatest medium-consistency pump, the MCE93-400, which has been inbuilt response to customer demand for bigger production charges in pulp mills.
The pumping of liquids with a excessive dry solids content – medium consistency – is crucial for processes within the pulp and paper industry.

Jussi Heinonen, product supervisor for MC equipment at Sulzer, stated: “The new MCE93-400 has been designed to function effectively, saving energy, water and chemical prices in pulp and paper mill processes. The progressive design features of the pump minimise its life cycle costs.”
The first massive MCE pumps have been dispatched to a significant pulp manufacturer in South America.
